Nurturing a global brand identity by streamlining Costa Store Design and personalisation with a versatile materials palette.
For a brand with a presence in over 2,500 stores throughout the UK, there is an emphasis on maintaining individuality. To achieve this, a versatile toolkit was created, enabling each location to express its unique identity through the choice of materials, furniture, and the incorporation of hand-crafted custom artwork.
Following successful trials, this approach has been expanded into a comprehensive set of Global Guidelines, ensuring consistent branding across all international markets including the Middle East. These guidelines are organised into self-contained chapters, each outlining the significance of the requirements, providing specific details, and including a checklist for design teams to assess their work before submission to Costa for concept approval. This streamlined process has reduced the need for design revisions and has significantly improved the speed of store production and refurbishments.
